Speiredonia spectans Native to Australia. With its cloak of many colours, a lovely visitor to my porch, a granny&#039;s cloak moth in family Erebidae.<br />

In the bush during day light hours, these moths can be found in dark places such as caves. <br />
<br />
Larvae feed on wattle (family Mimosaceae) and yellow tulip (family Euphorbiaceae). <br />

Granny's Cloak Moth is a species of moth of the Noctuidae family. It is found in the north-east quarter of Australia and Tasmania. Strays have been recorded on Norfolk Island and in New Zealand.
