A Rare Leaf This is a sub-adult male Leaf Insect from the family of Phyllidae.
Unfortunately, as it is not adult yet, it is not possible to determine the possible genus and is likely a species new to science.
It is very small in size, around 26-28mm.
Based on feedback from a Specialist on Phyllidae, this could either be from the genus Microphyllium or Pseudomicrophyllium. Both genus are only recorded from Philippines.
The genus Pseudomicrophyllium was newly established in 2017 for a description of a new species from Luzon, Philippines. Leaf Insect,Microphyllium,Philippines,Phyllidae,Phyllium,Pseudomicrophyllium,Sibuyan Click/tap to enlarge Promoted
