White-tailed Lampona sp. spider
These spiders have a dark reddish body and dark red/orange-brown banded legs. The dorsal abdomen bears a grey-white spot at the tip.
White-tailed spiders are vagrant hunters that live beneath bark and rocks, in leaf litter, logs and detritus in bush, gardens and houses.
The two common species of white-tailed spiders are Lampona cylindrata and Lampona murina - the two species are not easily distinguished without microscopic examination.
