Drosera madagascariensis, Heesch, Netherlands This is the 2nd out of the 3 Drosera species I purchased. To the naked eye, it&#039;s a tiny plant that is very flat, it barely rises above the edge of the pot. I hope it grows higher in the future.<br />

The flatness of this plant posed a challenge as I wanted to stack it, which is normally done horizontally. Luckily, the rail I use (WeMacro) can be put on a tripod, so this way I was able to do a top-down stack. 1. Nice resolution :o) Is the 45Mpix full frame or "just" a crop? Posted 5 years ago
    1. It is is full frame, this is the standard output of the D850 if you don't crop the photo. Posted 5 years ago
      1. Very good detail and no obvious distortion all the way to the edges ... impressed! Posted 5 years ago
        1. This was one was made with the 1:1 macro lens, the Nikkor 105mm f/2.8. It's indeed a wonderful lens, I actually bought it twice after donating my previous one to my niece. It's also a wonderful portrait lens, excellent bokeh.

Although not relevant for this scene, the lens has an unusual feature for a macro lens: autofocus. And it's wonderful.
