Jewelweed Vein Gall - Neolasioptera impatientifolia This gall was on the midrib of a jewelweed leaf ((Impatiens capensis).  The gall had at least one hole in it. There were also some tiny green eggs(?) on the leaf.<br />

Jewelweed Vein Gall - Neolasioptera impatientifolia

This gall was on the midrib of a jewelweed leaf ((Impatiens capensis). The gall had at least one hole in it. There were also some tiny green eggs(?) on the leaf.

    1. I'm not sure, but am trying to figure that out. It looks to me like either parasitism/predation because the gall looks different than the other ones I've seen online. I posted the photo on BG and hopefully someone there will know. Posted 5 years ago
