  hi Ernst, they are repromoted to the homepage, they are not uploaded again. It's the same old photo put in the spotlight once more. Moderators promote photos to the homepage and are free to also promote old photos, it's a good thing.
  
  As such, the homepage is not a feed of latest photos, it's a feed of promoted photos. If you truly want to see the latest photos only, just go to the "New" feed from the homepage.

The Eastern lesser bamboo lemur

The eastern lesser bamboo lemur, also known as the gray bamboo lemur and the gray gentle lemur, is a small lemur endemic to Madagascar, with three known subspecies. As its name suggests, the eastern lesser bamboo lemur feeds mainly on bamboo. The lemurs of the genus ''Hapalemur'' have more manual dexterity and hand–eye coordination than most lemurs. They are vertical climbers and jump from stalk to stalk in thick bamboo forests.
