    Fascinating - first thought is that mushrooms are the 'be all and end all', the ones that do the decomposing, and here they are being colonised by another organism of a similar ilk. And why not I guess! They are good, potential food source. Posted 5 years ago

      Exactly! I rarely find them like this, though, which is kind of weird. Maybe most mushrooms break down or get eaten before another fungus can parasitize them. Posted 5 years ago
