    1. It looks pretty much exactly like the egg sac for Gasteracantha cancriformis as seen in this link:
      http://entnemdept.ufl.edu/creatures/beneficial/g_cancriformis.htm

      But, Gasteracantha cancriformis is a New World spider and doesn't occur in PNG. Maybe the egg sac belongs to the Gasteracantha sacerdotalis spider that you saw? Was it nearby as well?

      1. No. I believe it was an egg sac for Gasteracantha Fornicata as it was/ and still is attached to its web and there are three of them within 2 ft. Posted 3 years ago
