The slopes of Sartaba Peak I think the slopes of this mountain are really unique and beautiful. <br />

During the rule of the Maccabees (that rebelled against the Greek, and had a small kingdom in the region after that) there was a fortress on the peak of the mountain. <br />

Sartaba Peak this peak is very prominent in its surrounding, standing 377m above sea level (the Jordan Valley beneath it is 300 m below sea level, so it's much more impressive there). <br />
