Sartaba Peak
this peak is very prominent in its surrounding, standing 377m above sea level (the Jordan Valley beneath it is 300 m below sea level, so it's much more impressive there).
in Biblical times, when messages were passed using bonfires on peaks, this was one of the peaks that helped pass messages from Jerusalem to the Galilee and north.
During the rule of the Maccabees (that rebelled against the Greek, and had a small kingdom in the region after that) there was a fortress on the peak of the mountain.
