Oak Curtain Crust Fungus (Hymenochaete rubiginosa) Dried up specimen on a fallen oak branch in a dense mixed forest. Mostly resupinate but some shelf and cup like formations seen. Some of the &quot;cups&quot; appear fuzzy.<br />
Turns black immediately on contact with KOH. Setae are visible under microscope. <br />
My microscope is officially dying (it didn&#039;t survive the move), so it looks like I&#039;m in the market for a new one (hopefully with a camera attachment). For an idea of what I saw:<br />
