  2. Hi Natty, the Epaulet oriole in Guaviare belongs to the Moriche (sub)species, meaning it would have a dark bill and a golden cap. This is a Yellow-rumped cacique. Posted 3 years ago, modified 3 years ago
    1. Hi Thibaud, Thanks for that, there's not a lot of information around about the epaulet, I think I was pointed there by one of the guides. Looking at it - definitely seems to be the yellow-rumped, also generally smaller. I'll amend, thanks again, cheers Posted 3 years ago

The Yellow-rumped Cacique, ''Cacicus cela'', is a passerine bird in the New World family Icteridae. It breeds in much of northern South America from Panama and Trinidad south to Peru, Bolivia and central Brazil.
