Screwpine (Pandanus sp.) - 2, Palmarium, Madagascar

Possibly another screwpine found in Palmarium. Note that this is a large plant/shrub, this one probably about 6m tall.

Note on the "making of": I used HDR tone mapping for this scene. In a jungle scene like this, you end up with the typical cloudy white sky combined with a dark forest floor, which is too much for a camera sensor to correctly expose for. You can't fix this during post processing by selectively adjusting exposure using a paint brush as the scene is way too complex for that. I rarely use HDR, but this is an example where I find it a great solution.
