  1. Definitely looks like a mycena. Posted 5 years ago
    1. Thanks for your cooperative, concurring consent :D Posted 5 years ago
      1. I used my full portfolio of fungi expertise on this one! Posted 5 years ago
        1. Lol, too bad we are both wrong. According to an expert on MO, it is likely Gymnopus sp. - a genus that I didn't even consider. Posted 5 years ago
          1. So even my full portfolio turned out to be worthless :) Posted 5 years ago
  2. I hate to be the party pooper, but I'm just not feeling Mycena sp. on these. I might be completely wrong, but my instinct says to look in a different direction? The caps don't seem very conical or bell-shaped, and the stem is sturdy/tough (and very opaque) rather than the flimsy/dainty ones usually seen in Mycena. Do you have additional photos? Posted 5 years ago
    1. Poop away, Lisa...you are usually right. Alan Rockefeller has suggested Gymnopus sp. I have a couple additional photos that I can add. Posted 5 years ago
      1. LOL, definitely not "usually right"! I agree with Alan! That looks a lot closer!

The substrate makes me think something close to G. subnudus?

        1. Ha, yeah right! You have a great track record with fungi!

Thanks for the species suggestion, I'll look into it :)

          1. Checked, and it looks good. I put the suggestion on the MO observation. Oh, and looks like G. subnudus is now Marasmiellus subnudus? Posted 5 years ago
            1. I added one pic:

I have a couple others, but they aren't much different from this one.
