The Devil's Bath This eye-catching and awe-inspiring pool sits in a slight depression, likely created during a massive eruption from underground. <br />

It is well out of reach of visitors but the majority of it can be seen clearly from above. <br />

The bright green water and mud mix gets its colour from deposits of sulphur and ferrous salts that rise to the surface and float on top. <br />

This eye-catching and awe-inspiring pool sits in a slight depression, likely created during a massive eruption from underground.

It is well out of reach of visitors but the majority of it can be seen clearly from above.

    1. 'It is well out of reach of visitors'....as were all the geothermal pools. But it hasn't stopped some trying, as signs were everywhere (particularly in Asian) advising not to touch, or attempt to climb in to the waters. 260C, highly acidic bath anyone? Posted one year ago
