Shelf Fungus - Ganoderma sp. I&#039;m not sure of the species - maybe Ganoderma curtisii, G. tsugae, or G. sessile. I'm not sure of the species - maybe Ganoderma curtisii, G. tsugae, or G. sessile. I did not cut it open and have no idea what color the flesh was.

Habitat: Deciduous forest; I thought it was on hardwood, but am now questioning that as I can see hemlock needles in this photo.

          I know it. I feel 99.999% sure it's tsugae, but I can't ID it as that because I have no clue what it's growing on. So annoying. I take notes on some spottings, and for others I skip it because I am certain that I will remember...But, then I forget. Posted 5 years ago
