  1. Check out this family of Ascomycete:

Maybe there were tiny hairs covered in exudate or even condensate here?
Not 100 percent, of course, but an interesting start?

    1. It is an excellent start, thanks so much! I could swear I saw something similar on JD before, was searching for it. Posted 6 years ago
        1. Great! What is the correct English term here....dripping? sweating? bleeding? anything else? Posted 6 years ago
          1. The droplets are called exudate or guttation. Not sure the proper term for the action. It is sometimes referred to as "weeping" or "exuding." "Dripping" is a decent descriptor. Posted 6 years ago, modified 6 years ago
            1. Thanks Lisa. Please don't search Google for dripping fungi, I beg you. Posted 6 years ago

From what I"m reading, Hyaloscyphaceae are called "The Hairy Discos"
