  Yes, it's a public right of way. In fact a road goes though the avenue (it's just out of shot)

Thanks for showing the details with me on this one! We visit England almost every year (though not. 2013, we are extending our house and are out of money by then;)) so i've bookmarked the location on my Garmin outdoor GPS. i will not forget, and we will visit this memorable place of natures finest.
