Green Cloverworm Moth - Hypena scabra The forewings are narrow and blackish-brown. although the color and pattern varies considerably. There is a thin, black line midway along inner margin, and a pale triangular patch usually present along the costa at the apex. The postmedian line is slightly wavy with a small, but conspicuous bulge near the costa. The hindwings are broad and uniformly grayish-brown with darker veins.<br />

The Green Cloverworm or Black Snout is a moth of the Erebidae family. It is found from Canada south to Florida and Texas. It has also been reported from Great Britain.
