
Toe-winged Beetles - Ptilodactyla sp.
These awesome beetles were located just beyond my reach!! The male is on the left (with the incredible, pectinate antennae). They stayed in this position the entire time I was outside (~15 min).
They were about 4 mm long, were medium/dark brown, and had what looked like golden pubescence on the end of their elytra. It seems that they can't be identified to species without examination of the male genitalia.
Habitat: Attracted to a light in a semi-rural area
