Beautiful Wood-Nymph - Eudryas grata
One of my favorite species! This moth was part of a pair...I'm not sure if they were male/female, but they appeared to enjoy each other's company.
This moth resembles the pearly wood-nymph, except that the subterminal area is darker red with yellow-green edging. The subterminal line is evenly curved. Approximately 25 mm long.
Habitat: Attracted to a black light in a semi-rural area. Lures: Petunias

''Eudryas grata'' is a moth known as the beautiful wood nymph. The caterpillars are known to feed on the Virginia creeper .
