A Woolly Aphid - Subfamily Eriosomatinae Another new-to-me animal! Such a complex life cycle. These are quite numerous on a couple of wild Prunus sp. trees in our yard. These aphids seem to be host specific and since I have yet to ID the tree... no specific ID on the aphid. Canada,Geotagged,Spring Click/tap to enlarge

  1. The host tree is Prunus pensylvanica. Still doesn’t help me in the aphid ID. :( Posted 6 years ago, modified 6 years ago
  2. Intriguing critters! Posted 6 years ago
