Beaver Pond There is a small stream that originates in a White Cedar Swamp to the north. This beaver pond itself is on what used to be a White Cedar Swamp. All that remains now are their upturned roots and dead trees. The beavers abandoned this pond years ago once the more desirable food species ran out. A second pond just below this one has also been abandoned and is now thickly vegetated with sapling White Cedar (Thuja occidentalis).
