Caddisfly larva This caddisfly larva was one of several found in a small splash pool in the rocks along the shore of Lake Superior. Its case is made from leaf fragments of Trichophorum cespitosum (Tufted Bulrush) which grows on the rock crevices. The habitat seems a bit precarious considering that waves whipped up by storms will completely wash over these splash pools.
