
Flame-shouldered Dart - Ochropleura implecta
TL: ~15 mm. Brown forewings that were really shiny and had a purplish tint. Straw-colored costal streak. Orbicular spot is edged in white.
*This is the only species of this genus in North America
Habitat: Attracted to an LED light (395 nm) in a semi-rural area

"Ochropleura implecta" is a moth of the family Noctuidae. It is found from Newfoundland to South Carolina, west to Arizona, north to British Columbia. The wingspan is 25–32 millimetres. Adults are on wing from April to September. There are two generations per year.
