    1. I don't know. It could be a cluster. It could just be one, multi-celled gall. I think it could be a knot gall caused by Diastrophus nebulosus, or a similar species? Posted 6 years ago, modified 5 years ago

A species of wasp in the Cynipidae family. Induces galls in blackberry stems: "Rounded or long stem swellings, sometimes with 4 or 5 deep longitudinal furrows, length 2 to 6 inches.
