Green treefrogs mating - closeup, Rio Ñambi, Colombia

Found quite far off-path during a night tour in Rio Ñambi. They were on a large leaf hanging above a stream. Just gazing at the stars.

      I'm not sure what explains their behavior. The litter frogs are very nervous, poison frogs are drama queens, tree frogs...sitting like zombies. Posted 6 years ago
