    1. I hadn't realised that the flower can be a much darker pink Christine, I only saw pretty pale ones such as this. Posted 3 years ago
      1. I mostly see the pale ones as well. But, sometimes come upon darker varieties, like this:
        Mountain Laurel Large shrub (5' tall) with dramatic clusters of pink buds and reddish-white flowers. Leaves were shiny and leathery. I'm not sure what variety this is - maybe either bullseye or minuet. Geotagged,Kalmia latifolia,Mountain Laurel,Mountain-laurel,Spring,United States
