Mountain Laurel

Large shrub (5' tall) with dramatic clusters of pink buds and reddish-white flowers. Leaves were shiny and leathery. I'm not sure what variety this is - maybe either bullseye or minuet.

"Kalmia latifolia", commonly called mountain-laurel, is a species of flowering plant in the blueberry family, Ericaceae, that is native to the eastern United States. Its range stretches from southern Maine south to northern Florida, and west to Indiana and Louisiana.
