Bee I found a swarm of these fuzzy bees slurping up sap from a striped maple (Acer pensylvanicum). Some of the bees had silvery/white hairs and others were yellow.  I&#039;m assuming they are different species and think the yellowish ones look honeybee-ish, yet fuzzier. Any help IDing them would be appreciated! I am terrible at identifying bees!<br />

    1. No worries! I posted on the FB Bugguide page and am hoping someone there will know the IDs. I find bee ID really hard too, partly because I was absent from class the week that hymenoptera was taught in Insect Taxonomy and I never caught up on it. Posted 6 years ago
