Eggs - Reduviidae I&#039;m not sure whose eggs these were. They were laid upright, were slightly tapered at the ends, were bronze, and had caps (most were gone though). <br />

Habitat: On a railing beside a wet, mostly deciduous forest.<br />

I was thinking that they could be assassin bug (Reduviidae) eggs, but since the caps were mostly gone, I don&#039;t know if they had the ray-like projections on them. They could possibly be beetle eggs as well. So, for now they are a mystery.<br />

  2. Howdy. I wouldn't hesitate to call these the eggs of some Reduviidae, but not in tune enough with North American species to go further than that. Maybe have a look at this series of images on Bugguide - the nymph may give you some more clues(?)
