A polypore (poroid) bracket fungus, Trametes modesta is a mushroom species which was first described by Kunze ex Fr., and got its current name from Leif Ryvarden in 1972. Trametes modesta is included in the genus Trametes and the Polyporaceae family. No subspecies are listed in the Catalog of Life.
