Passiflora colombiana - front view, Colombia
Starting our 2nd morning near La Cocha with a rare find. According to our guide Brayan, this is an extremely rare plant. I tried to validate this claim and found the following:
It was first described by L.K. Escobar in 1982, and it seems he also reported it in 1986.

Reports seem restricted solely to the Nariño department of Colombia (where this photo was also taken). Online citizen reports (pictures)...only a single one I can find on the web, and it's taken by Brayan :)

So I shall hereby post two photos, and become the world leader in photo contributions for this species. I expect people will now start holding open doors for me. Geotag removed to not help poachers too much.

Passiflora colombiana is a rare passionflower that was discovered and described in NariƱo, Colombia.
