Northern Caddisfly (Limnephilidae) Egg Mass
These caddisfly eggs were spherical, yellow, and were suspended in a gelatinous covering. I found several egg masses like this attached to vegetation and wood along the edge of a river. They were slightly above the water line, although the area does flood regularly. The northern caddisflies (Limnephilidae) sometimes attach their egg masses to objects above the water or in dry vernal pools, so this is not unusual behavior.
