    1. Thank you Christine! :) Posted 2 years ago
  2. Hi, was it in the wild or in a garden?

    1. The location in the description points to the Biodome (a greenhouse/tourist attraction in England), so I wouldn't think they were wild. Posted 2 years ago
      1. I see. If that's the case and the orchids are from a greenhouse, it should be difficult to ID them, because we don't know their origin. At least for me it should be difficult.
Ganesh, I see the photos are taken last year, but if you are around that place, maybe you could visit it again and check the labels on the plants!

        1. Hi Jivko NakevJivko Nakev,
Ah... there were no labels on the plats :D .. Looks like its not gonna be easy to identify them unless we contact the person who is looking after the Orchid House at Bio-dome project.

        2. Most of the orchid photos Ganesh posted look like Phalaenopsis to me and there is a sign in the booth that reads "Phalaenopsis". One problem with identifying Phalaenopsis orchids that are cultivated is that they may be hybrid species created for horticultural purposes. I think the best that can be done here is to call at least some of them Phalaenopsis Posted 2 years ago
          1. I emailed them to ask and here is their reply:

“this is a Phalaenopsis cultivar. Currently most of the orchids in our orchid pergola are Phalaenopsis.”
