King Stropharia - Stropharia rugosoannulata
I found a cluster of these mushrooms growing in a spot where I find them regularly during mushroom season. The caps were more brown and darker than usual. They had purple-gray gills and a whitish stem with a thick, cogwheeled ring.
Interestingly, Stropharia rugosoannulata is a nematophagous fungus, which means that it is able to trap and digest nematodes.

Stropharia rugosoannulata is an agaric of the family Strophariaceae found in Europe and North America, and introduced to Australia and New Zealand.
