King Stropharia - Stropharia rugosoannulata I found a cluster of these mushrooms growing in a spot where I find them regularly during mushroom season. The caps were more brown and darker than usual. They had purple-gray gills and a whitish stem with a thick, cogwheeled ring.

Interestingly, Stropharia rugosoannulata is a nematophagous fungus, which means that it is able to trap and digest nematodes.
