Xanthoporia andersonii Growing on a fallen, rotting oak at the edge of a dense mixed forest (at the top of a ridge). I just happened to see some neon yellow peeking out from a crevice in the bark and decided to investigate! The bright yellow color is actually a spore deposit!<figure class="photo"><a href="https://www.jungledragon.com/image/74984/xanthoporia_andersonii.html" title="Xanthoporia andersonii"><img src="https://s3.amazonaws.com/media.jungledragon.com/images/3231/74984_thumb.jpg?AWSAccessKeyId=05GMT0V3GWVNE7GGM1R2&Expires=1759968010&Signature=Bi%2FC8G65rPmYiwJB4qeMw4jGytI%3D" width="200" height="134" alt="Xanthoporia andersonii Growing on a fallen, rotting oak at the edge of a dense mixed forest (at the top of a ridge).
