
Poison Champagne Amanita - Amanita crenulata
Pale tan cap covered with champagne-colored volva warts. The gills were white. The stem was white. The bulb was enlarged and had a ring of champagne coloring.
This species is toxic and produces dramatic symptoms, similar to those of Amanita muscaria and Amanita pantherina.

Amanita crenulata is a very common species in the northeastern USA, occurring most frequently during autumn.
