Uracis fastigiata, La Isla Escondida, Colombia Second observation of this species. Note how by total coincidence it is almost identical to the first one, taken 3 days earlier:<br />

On this day after, our real trip would start as we would enter the jungle and stay for 5 nights in La Isla Escondida, so I&#039;ll be grouping that location under this tag:<br />

It&#039;s going to be a big subset as close to 50% of photos in our total set come from this one awesome location.<br />

Back on topic: this first observation is obviously a dragonfly, an interesting pattern is that throughout this year&#039;s trip we did not see that many of them, and most that we saw looked pretty dull like this. A strange anomaly to the incredible diversity of other insect orders in Colombia.<br />

It looks like it may be a difficult one to identify, but will try on FB in some enthusiast groups.
