Winter Stonefly - Family Capniidae
A small stonefly that was about 10 mm long. It was blackish/dark brown and had reduced wing venation. It had long cerci on the end of its abdomen.
Adults emerge in winter and early spring.
Habitat: I spotted dozens of them today near a river in a deciduous forest.
