Moldy Bolete - Boletaceae I thought this moldy mushroom was really gorgeous! All I could determine was that the mushroom had pores and yellow flesh. I have no idea what the ID is of the mushroom or the mold.  The cap was about 9 cm in diameter.<br />

Moldy Bolete - Boletaceae

I thought this moldy mushroom was really gorgeous! All I could determine was that the mushroom had pores and yellow flesh. I have no idea what the ID is of the mushroom or the mold. The cap was about 9 cm in diameter.

    1. Definitely! One thing I found interesting about this mushroom was that there weren't many fruit flies on it - only a couple. Usually, rotting mushrooms are covered in flies. This one seemed unpalatable for some reason, maybe the type of bacteria were toxic or else just yucky. Posted 6 years ago
