Cuttlefish Eggs Kareko Batu, Lembeh.
In many places online I see these as eggs from the Metasepia pfefferi but I wonder if they could also be of a different Sepia species because the babies inside are more whiteish.
In any case it was a cool finding because they were inside an old shoe!
1. Awesome! I love that the babies are visible! Posted 6 years ago
    1. Yes, and this is why I think they may not be Metasepia pfefferi because the babies of this sp should already have some colors, I think, whereas the babies in these pics are whitish. On the other hand I see some pics of so claimed M. pfefferi eggs with white babies in. I don't know if they are wrongly named or that the color only develops when they are about to hatch.. so I leave them as just Sepia eggs for now ... :-D Posted 6 years ago
      1. Sounds good. It would be awesome to be able to watch eggs like this develop over time lapse so the minute changes could be seen as they develop! Posted 6 years ago
