
Old Potato Amanita - Amanita solaniolens
The cap was a very light, dull yellow near the margin, and was dark olive brown at the center, with a slight greenish tint over the entire cap. The cap was plane in shape with a slightly striate margin. It was about 5 cm in diameter. The volva was present as three large, flat whitish patches in the center of the cap. Gills were white, free, and short gills were present. The stipe was white and had a membranous ring near the top of the stem.
Habitat: Growing on the ground in a deciduous forest.
