Some things are very easy to check on your own. I'm not a bug expert at all yet can look up that Epilachna borealis does not occur in Asia in 20 seconds, so you can do this too. As one example:

Enter the species name in the search box. Now you'll see every single observation of this species is in the USA.
Furthermore, the very first search result on Google for this species shows a Wikipedia article clearly stating it's a eastern USA species.
I do not expect you to be an entomologist. I'm not one either. But this is very basic research that anybody can do. And if you do not do it, it means a moderator needs to do it for you.
Anyway, I love your observations but I hope you're willing to learn to take this first step of research. You don't have to know all the answers and sometimes the answers aren't clear, just try to put in the best you can so that somebody else doesn't have to do it for you. Posted 6 years ago
