Pleasing Fungus Beetle, La Isla Escondida, Colombia

A few close looking species in the genus Erotylus, but none exactly matching the all-yellow thin zigzag patterns as seen here. Iphiclus quinquefasciatus also comes close, but doesn't look like an exact match.

I think Erotylus looks closer because of the punctations. Erotylus incomparabilis is so close. I wonder if the red is variable and sometimes absent? Posted 6 years ago
