  2. Megalopyge crispata is very close visually, so maybe something in this genus?

    The only difference I see is that the tips of the tarsi are black in this species! It has been observed in parts of Central America (but none in South America from what I can tell). Either way, it looks very closely related?

    1. Thanks. I checked species in that genus in South America without a clear match but it looks close. I do see one other difference: the length of the antennae, but I'm not sure if that means a lot. Posted 6 years ago
