Cissia spec.
Any chance anyone could help me identify this Cissia?
Photographed near Bogota, Colombia.
I found a thread earlier on the website concerning another Cissia so I was really hoping someone could help me out with the appropriate literature..
Thanks,
Arno

I'm definitely no expert on Columbian butterflies, but it looks a lot like Cissia pompilia. I'm not sure of this at all though!

Welcome to JungleDragon! Check out this very plain looking website:

Look up the PDF you need, and then go here:

Very well hidden, these are some of the best visual butterfly guides of Colombia. Takes a while to go through, but good odds of success! Posted 6 years ago
Info! :)
It appears that in the regio i found it, no Cissia's have been recorded yet.
'Euptychoides griphe' is the only species in the list where all the black markings match 100%. However now the lines on the wing don't really match anymore.
If anyone has some better suggestions I'll be glad to hear them,
Thank you all! Posted 6 years ago, modified 6 years ago
