  1. Pretty! Looks like it could be a Mocha Moth (Cyclophora sp.)? Or maybe Idaea sp.? Organopoda sp. are similar, but I don't think the distribution is a match for that genus. Posted 6 years ago, modified 6 years ago
    1. Cyclophora looks similar in wing shape but none seem to have the bump near the neck, or so is my first impression.
Idaea matches roughly but I'm seeing different antennae, hard to put a finger on it. I kind of have the same feeling about Organopoda.

Note that I'm just visually checking, I have no idea what I'm doing. As a side note, this is one of my favs regarding color. Its both matte and jewel-like, and I don't recall seeing such soft pastel tones in many other species. It has a certain elegance to it.

      1. I really love this one too for the same reasons. I just can't find a match so far. I see similarities, but no real defining characteristics. Posted 6 years ago
  2. I think this is an Erebid. Check out the tribe Panopodini. Posted 6 years ago
    1. Thanks! Panopoda rigida comes close but likely not an exact match. Posted 6 years ago
