Panchlora sp. Found during a night tour. About 5-6cm in length, overall light green appearance.

  I've been looking into identification of Planchora spp from the region and will have to come up inconclusive I'm afraid. There are a few species with ringed antennae and the little black spots on the tegmina and the descriptions I have for those will not allow an ID from photo. Also, some (old) publications claim that the annulated antennae and spotted wings are not constant characters within a species to begin with, giving rise to even more candidates. Lots of contradictory and questionable remarks in all the publications available to me (some 30?). I think that short of having the specimen under a microscope and endeavouring to do a full revision of the genus any name calling will be wishful thinking :-/ Posted one year ago
